  The object of the research paper is the importance and necessity of large vocabulary for English learners. The subject of the research paper is a review of written and Internet resources on this topic and certain techniques that help to speed up the process of developing a good vocabulary. The practical significance of the research is in possible application of its results in practice by people who are interested in building their own vocabulary and in the way of doing it correctly.
